Facilitation, according to the dictionary, is “the art of making easy or easier.” In the case of meeting and project facilitation, this means managing a process to more easily accomplish a given set of objectives. Therefore, facilitation is a skill set that all owners, executives, and managers should develop for maximum effectiveness.
Dale Feinauer—a professional facilitator, College of Business professor, and member of the Forum’s staff, will lead this training program which is open to all members and sponsors.

Anti-Solution Leadership: Why Starting with Solutions Creates Win-Lose Scenarios
January 22, 2014, 1:00pm-5:00pm
Butte des Morts Country Club, Appleton, WI
Presented by: Steve Utech & Melissa Borowicz, Utech Customized Organizational Development
You’ve worked hard to get where you are. As leaders we’re rewarded for finding solutions. Finding
solutions can be fun and it makes us feel useful. The dilemma we face as leaders is how we balance
getting results while simultaneously coaching and developing our team. As problems become more
and more complex it’s critical that we give our employees the tools to think for themselves. Many
times, providing solutions is a sure fire way to create a non-thinking culture and regress your
employees development. Anti-Solution Leadership will challenge the way you look at people and put
you in a position of realizing that sometimes “less is more”. |
